500 grams of Corn
Water
Banana leaves
1 pinch of Salt
Sugar

Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1 : First, carefully wash the corn and soak it in room-temperature water for a period of 24 to 48 hours to ferment.
Step 2 : Once that time has passed, drain the corn and blend it with a little clean water until obtaining a smooth paste.
Step 3 : Place the mixture over medium heat and stir constantly until it reaches a thick porridge consistency.
Step 4 : At that point, you can add salt or sugar to taste to enhance its flavor.
Step 5 : Next, take portions of the dough and place them in the center of pieces of banana leaf, folding them to form small packets.
Step 6 : These are steamed for approximately 15 minutes, until well cooked and firm.
Step 7 : Finally, Aberím can be served cold or at room temperature, allowing you to enjoy its traditional and authentic flavor.
