Easter Vigil Empanadas
Ingredients
Homemade puff pastry
1 cup of Cold milk
1 Yolk
1 pinch of Salt
½ Diced onion
50 grams of Lard
1 tablespoon of Flour
1 pinch of Pepper
Nutmeg
1 Cooked egg
1 can of Tuna
1 Beaten egg
Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : In a hot skillet, add the onion and let it brown.
Step 2 : Then, add the tablespoon of flour and mix well, gradually incorporating the milk until it boils.
Step 3 : Once the mixture is ready, transfer it to a bowl and season with salt, nutmeg, pepper, and the yolk of the egg.
Step 4 : Finely chop the hard-boiled egg and drain the tuna, then add both ingredients to the prepared mixture.
Step 5 : Next, cut out circles of dough as desired and place a portion of the filling with pieces of hard-boiled egg in the center of each.
Step 6 : Brush the assembled empanadas with beaten egg and bake until an attractive golden color is achieved.
