Brazilian Feijoada
Ingredients
1 kilogram of Beef shank
1 kilogram of Bacon
1 kilogram of Smoked pork ribs
1 kilogram of Smoked pork loin
1 kilogram of Chorizo
4 kilograms of Black beans
Seasoning
2 Large onions, chopped
4 Bay leaves
8 Minced garlic cloves
Black pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, start by boiling the meats in water.
Step 2 : Add the tougher meat first, then the softer one, and cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes.
Step 3 : Once cooked, remove the meats from the water and chop them, reserving the cooking liquid.
Step 4 : In the same pot, cook the beans over medium-high heat for 30 to 40 minutes, gradually adding onions, garlic, and bay leaves.
Step 5 : At the end of cooking, add the seasoning, previously chopped meats, and a dash of black pepper.
Step 6 : To serve, decorate the plate with orange wedges and parsley sprigs, and serve with white rice or yuca.
