Breaded Beefsteak Parmesan

Main Course
1 hour
2 Servings

Ingredients

2 Tenderloin steaks

cup of Tomato sauce

4 Mozzarella slices

½ cup of Flour

½ cup of Breadcrumbs

1 Egg

2 ½ cups of Oil

Grated Parmesan cheese

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : The process begins by preheating the oven to 220°C, ensuring it is hot enough for grating later.

Step 2 : Heat the tomato sauce for a minute in the microwave, reaching the ideal temperature for preparation.

Step 3 : Then, beat an egg in a shallow dish.

Step 4 : Prepare two additional dishes, one with flour and the other with breadcrumbs.

Step 5 : Season the steaks with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6 : Next, first coat them with flour, ensuring entire surface coverage, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to make the coating stick well.

Step 7 : In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

Step 8 : To check if it's ready, you can insert a lit matchstick; if it sparks, the oil is at the right temperature.

Step 9 : Fry the steaks for about 40 seconds on each side, until they develop an attractive golden color.

Step 10 : Once done, remove and place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Step 11 : Then, in an ovenproof dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom.

Step 12 : Place a steak on top, cover with two slices of mozzarella, and add more sauce.

Step 13 : Repeat this process with the second steak or, if you prefer, place both in the same dish side by side.

Step 14 : Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for a final touch.

Step 15 : Finally, place the dish in the oven and gratin for about 20 minutes, or five minutes longer if using the grill function, until the cheese is completely melted and golden, ready to be enjoyed in peace.
