Ingredients

800 grams of Black beans

300 grams of Bacon

350 grams of Meat

350 grams of Pork ribs

150 grams of Smoked sausage

2 Onions

5 Tomatoes

1 cup of Rice

3 Garlic cloves

1 pinch of Pepper

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this dish, first soak the beans overnight.

Step 2 : Next, boil the meat along with the pork ribs, smoked sausage, and bacon.

Step 3 : Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and cook with the lid on for 2 hours.

Step 4 : For the black beans, boil, immediately cover the pot, and cook for 2 hours.

Step 5 : Once ready, strain and set aside.

Step 6 : In a separate pot, sauté the chopped beans, onion, and garlic until the onions are translucent.

Step 7 : Then add the tomatoes, season with salt, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.

Step 8 : Add a portion of the beans to the sofrito and mash with a fork or masher.

Step 9 : Add the remaining beans to the reserved broth and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 10 : Meanwhile, prepare the rice.

Step 11 : Finally, serve the dish by placing the meat on one side of the plate, the beans on another, and the rice in the center.
