Ingredients

4 Sea bass fillets

2 Limes

2 Garlic cloves

1 Onion

1 Red bell pepper

2 Tomatoes

Olive oil

1 teaspoon of Whole cumin seeds

400 milliliters of Coconut milk

Cilantro

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : The sea bass fillets are cut into pieces about five centimeters long and seasoned with salt and pepper.

Step 2 : Then, they are placed in a container with lime juice and marinated in the refrigerator for about thirty minutes.

Step 3 : Meanwhile, crush the garlic cloves into slices, cut the onion into rings, and the red pepper into rounds.

Step 4 : Peel the ripe tomatoes and dice them small, then chop a bit of fresh cilantro to add later.

Step 5 : In a clay or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the olive oil and lightly sauté the garlic and onion until translucent.

Step 6 : Next, add the red pepper and cook for another two or three minutes.

Step 7 : Then, add cumin, chopped tomatoes, coconut milk, and cilantro, letting the mixture simmer gently for ten minutes.

Step 8 : Now, distribute the fish pieces along with the marinade into the sauce.

Step 9 : Cover the pot and cook for another five minutes, or until the fish is cooked but still juicy.

Step 10 : Finally, sprinkle with more fresh cilantro, serve with lime wedges, and accompany with white rice to enjoy a delicious moqueca.
