Cloves
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the honey-coated green papaya, first grate the surface of the fruit vertically with a knife, allowing a whitish liquid to emanate.
Step 2 : Then, let the fruit rest for an hour and rinse to remove the bitter taste.
Step 3 : Cut the papaya in half or into four parts, remove the seeds, and with a vegetable peeler, cut the fruit into thin strips, similar to paper, and place them in a container.
Step 4 : Once all the strips are prepared, roll them into small cylinders, sewing them with thread and needle to create a chain.
Step 5 : Place these rolls in a container with sugar overnight, where the papaya will release liquid.
Step 6 : The next morning, cook the papaya with its liquid over low heat.
Step 7 : When the fruit is cooked, remove the rolls from the thread and re-submerge them in the syrup.
Step 8 : Finally, let them cool and serve the green papaya in honey.
