Homemade Pumpkin Sweet

Ingredients

2 ½ kilograms of Sugar

2 kilograms of Pumpkin

1 Cinnamon sticks

Preparation

Step 1 : The pumpkin is cut into large cubes, including the skin, and placed in a pot with water to cook.

Step 2 : When the pumpkin is tender, it is removed from the water, the skin is peeled off, and the pulp is passed through a juicer to achieve a very smooth texture.

Step 3 : The pulp is put back into a pot and cooked over medium or high heat, stirring occasionally, until it dries and thickens, forming a more compact purée.

Step 4 : To this mixture, sugar and cinnamon sticks are added.

Step 5 : Continue cooking, stirring continuously, until the sweet pulls away from the bottom of the pot and has a uniform texture.

Step 6 : Finally, the cinnamon sticks are removed, and it is allowed to cool slightly before serving.
